NYC Harassment Reports Involving Asian Victims 65 or Over Rose During Pandemic

In 2020, the NYPD recorded 303 second-degree harassment incidents against Asian New Yorkers older than 65, an 11% increase from the previous year. During the same time, reported harassment incidents against older Black people decreased by 3% from 2019, and harassment against their White peers went down by 1.5%.
