Photojournalists,

We’re looking for smart, ambitious photo story pitches about criminal justice, immigration and related issues (police etc). These should not be already completed projects or stories that have been published elsewhere. We’re looking for projects that might take 1-2 weeks in the field that we’ll help you form and produce as you delve into your reporting and shooting work.

Please email the following as an attached pdf file to photostories@themarshallproject.org using the subject line "The Marshall Project Photo Essays / YOUR NAME HERE."

What access do you have? We’re looking for stories that have promising access and multiple sources you’ve already done some leg work on. Be specific.

How long will this take, how many shoot days are you proposing?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
