Rachel Kincaid Joins The Marshall Project

The newsroom adds a Newsletter Manager.

The Marshall Project has hired Rachel Kincaid to be Newsletter Manager. In this new role, Kincaid will help grow and strengthen the organization’s efforts to connect directly with readers through newsletters.

“Rachel has such a range of skills — from editing to management to newsletter development and more. Her work at The Marshall Project will enhance our ability to reach new audiences as well as build products for our existing ones,” said Heather Ciras, Director of Audience Development.

Rachel joins The Marshall Project from Study Hall, where she served as Editorial Operations Director, and was responsible for executing editorial strategy for a subscription-based platform.

“I’m excited to be working with an organization whose thoughtful journalistic approach I’ve long admired as a reader, and proud to be joining such a dedicated and talented team. I’m looking forward to using our newsletter program and other engagement tools to expand The Marshall Project’s commitment to making its award-winning journalism relevant and accessible to incarcerated people and others who are impacted by the criminal justice system,” Kincaid said.

She is a graduate of Brandeis University and based in Minnesota, though she originally hails from Boston. She can be found on Twitter @danascullyirl.
