Audience Director
he/him
I lead The Marshall Project's efforts to connect our reporting with audiences across digital platforms, in order to grow the reach and impact of our work.
Throughout my 18-year career in journalism, I have focused on the intersection of reporting and digital engagement to explore how online audiences discover, consume and share the stories that matter most to them.
I was previously the Director of Newsroom Strategy and Experiments for BuzzFeed News, a Social Media Director focused on video initiatives at CBS News, and a Digital Editor at my hometown newspaper, the Chicago Sun-Times. I am just as comfortable working on promotional strategies for Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage exposing Chinese internment camps as I am brainstorming how to reach younger audiences on TikTok.
I’m always interested in speaking with creators and influencers interested in the criminal justice space and potential partnerships with The Marshall Project.
