My Background

I bring more than 20 years of nonprofit fundraising and communication experience. Before joining The Marshall Project in 2022, I held local fundraising roles in arts and culture nonprofits in Cincinnati and in Charlotte, North Carolina. I then transitioned to working for national education nonprofits, including as senior managing director at Teach For America and vice president, development and external affairs, at Heart of America.

Beyond my professional awards or accolades, I’m most proud of my deep commitment to equity and justice as a Black woman, mother and active member in my Charlotte community.
