Dacrie Brooks is the senior director of strategic communications for The Marshall Project, where she leads communications and marketing initiatives to elevate the organization’s visibility and award-winning criminal justice reporting. In this role, she is responsible for media relations, public affairs, donor communications, and issues management. In her previous posts at Cohn & Wolfe, she served as a senior media relations specialist where she helped Fortune 500 C-suite executives garner national top-tier coverage. She is a Board Member for the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum and a certified facilitator for The Institute of Cultural Affairs in the USA. She is based in San Antonio.
