Deputy Director of Development
He/Him
I work with my development colleagues, organizational leadership and the Board of Directors to raise the funds necessary to enable The Marshall Project’s award-winning journalism.
During my nearly 25 years in the nonprofit sector, it’s been my honor to serve impactful organizations with a commitment to storytelling and narrative change like The Innocence Project, Equal Justice Initiative and The Brotherhood Sister Sol. I’m thrilled to leverage my experience in the service of nonprofit journalism about criminal justice.
I’m a native New Yorker and live in Queens with my wife — who introduced me to fundraising 20 years ago — and our two baseball-obsessed children. Outside of work and shuttling my kids around town, I’m an avid baseball fan (and collector), currently obsessed with learning how to refurbish old baseball gloves.
Although I’ll usually leave the publishing to the talented journalists I now call my colleagues, I did have an essay on the intersection of design and justice published in “I Love It. What Is It?: The power of instinct in design and branding.”
I’d love to hear from you if you’re a donor, interested in becoming one, or have thoughts related to how we can grow our philanthropic support!
