Lakshmi Sivadas is a Tow audience engagement fellow at the Marshall Project. She’s a graduate of the Social Journalism program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. During her time there she investigated post-Sandy recovery efforts in the Rockaways, New York City, using engagement reporting methodologies. Previously she interned at StoryCorps where she helped identify expansion opportunities for StoryCorps’ latest initiative, One Small Step. Prior to attending the j-school, she covered urban issues including environment and real estate for NDTV in India. She was also an assistant producer at CNBC in India and worked on two primetime, award-winning daily news shows.
