I help to lead our editorial operations and am involved in every project that moves through the newsroom. I oversee our media partnerships and digital strategy, and focus on how to connect our high-impact work to broad and diverse audiences.
I joined The Marshall Project back in 2016, and am proud to have watched the organization grow and thrive over the past decade.
In my current role, I help establish newsroom strategy and shepherd our many projects to publication. I oversee our ambitious media partnerships, which include The New York Times, Washington Post and CBS, as well as local partners like Mississippi Today, Channel 5 Cleveland and St. Louis Public Radio. I manage our award-winning audience team and am constantly thinking about how public interest journalism can exist across multiple platforms and formats. I also work on Investigate This!, our open-source reporting project that helps local news outlets develop their own criminal justice journalism.
In my previous role as Director of Communications and Strategy, I led campaigns that connected journalism to the media, lawmakers, advocates, and justice-impacted communities.
Reach out to me if you are interested in collaborating with us. I'm always interested to hear from new media partners, or how you might want to use our reporting toolkits in your own work, or perhaps you are interested in optioning our work for film and TV projects.
