The Catchlight Foundation is seeking applications for its inaugural fellowship, a one-year position paying $30,000 to work on a photography, video, or virtual reality feature in collaboration with The Marshall Project. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2017.
Applicants should propose a specific project on some aspect of criminal justice, including mass incarceration, race and policing, due process, immigration, or the impact of our justice system on families and communities. The Marshall Project will seek to co-publish the work with a strong media partner, and to create outreach and audience engagement strategies to ensure widespread distribution and promotion of the work.
Applicants for this partnership should consider any logistical details such as access to prisons, jails, or courtrooms, and be prepared to resolve them independently if necessary.
More information on the fellowship can be found here.
