The Durst case shows how very little the police seemed to regard repeated domestic violence calls. ”

Brooke Shelby Biggs of San Francisco, CA

I would submit that a very big lesson that can and should also be taken from The Jinx and the Durst story in general is that yes, missing white women get a lot more attention than others who are missing, but the police seem to care only once they're missing. The Durst case shows how very little the police seemed to regard repeated domestic violence calls. Had they taken these threats and Kathleen's expressed fears seriously, she might be alive today.
