As a multimedia editor at The Marshall Project, I collaborate with reporters, photojournalists, illustrators and other creatives to visualize complex stories about the U.S. criminal justice system.
My Background
Before joining The Marshall Project full-time in 2023, I contributed photojournalism to publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and TIME, and covered daily news and sports for the Yakima Herald-Republic and The Valley News. I also worked as a freelance photo editor for publications like Audubon Magazine and Leafly News, and taught filmmaking, photography, animation and journalism courses for youth and college students.
Through my work as a founding member of Authority Collective, I’ve contributed to projects advocating for a safer and more equitable visual media industry, produced exhibitions featuring the work of underrepresented photographers, and organized community programming for artists.
I previously served on the boards of AAJA Seattle, Blue Earth Alliance and the South Seattle Emerald.
