Ilica Mahajan is a data fellow at The Marshall Project. She’s a computational journalist who builds tools and analyzes data to uncover the complexities of the criminal justice system. Previously, she was a distributed systems engineer at a biotech startup building robotic microscopes. She recently graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in journalism and another in computer science.
